Install guide
Two lines of code, pasted once. About two minutes, and you don't need to be technical.
1<div id="wibidi-chatbot" data-bot-id="YOUR-BOT-ID" data-app-url="https://wibidi.com"></div> 2<script src="https://wibidi.com/embed.js"></script>
Your own bot ID is filled in automatically when you use Copy install code in the Wibidi dashboard. Copy it from there rather than retyping.
Open your chatbot in Wibidi and select Copy install code.
Find your platform below. Every one of them has a footer or "body end" box.
Reload your site in a private window. The chat bubble appears in the bottom corner.
Each builder names the same spot differently. Here's the exact route for each.
Use the free WPCode plugin. It keeps your snippet safe when your theme updates, and you never touch a theme file.
If nothing appears: clear your cache. Caching plugins (WP Rocket, LiteSpeed, W3 Total Cache) and host-level caching serve visitors the old page until you purge it. This is the single most common reason a correctly pasted snippet seems to do nothing.
Scroll to the bottom of the file, paste both lines immediately before </body>, and click Save.
Tip: duplicate your theme first, so you always have an untouched copy to fall back on.Paste both lines, set Place Code in to Body – end and Add Code to Pages to All pages, then click Apply.
Note: Custom Code only appears once your site is published and a domain is connected.Paste both lines into the Footer field and click Save. Squarespace injects it before </body> on every page.
Note: code injection isn't available on the entry-level plan, and checkout pages don't run custom code.Paste both lines into Footer code, click Save, then Publish your site.
Note: custom code never runs inside the Designer. You'll only see the chat on the published site.Look in your settings for custom code, header & footer scripts, code injection or custom HTML — most platforms have one. PrestaShop and Joomla usually need a small free header/footer module, or the snippet added to your template's footer file. Not sure? Send us your platform name and we'll tell you exactly where it goes.
Paste both lines directly before </body> and upload the file. If your pages share a footer template or include, add it there once and it applies everywhere.
Both block third-party scripts at the platform level, so there's no workaround from our side. We'd rather tell you now than have you spend an afternoon on it.
Doesn't allow scripts in the page itself and blocks external ones by security policy. Embeds are sandboxed, so a site-wide chat bubble can't run.
Its custom-HTML block runs inside an isolated frame and won't apply site-wide. GoDaddy's managed WordPress hosting works fine — the builder doesn't.
Four things account for almost every case. Work down the list.
The <div> and the <script> both have to be there. Pasting only the script is the most frequent slip.
Purge any caching plugin or CDN, then reload in a private window so your browser fetches a fresh copy.
Webflow and most builders need you to publish after saving. Saving alone doesn't update the public site.
A chatbot only runs on the domain it's registered to. Check the domain in your dashboard matches the site exactly.
Write to [email protected] with your website address and the platform you use, and we'll walk you through it. If you already work with someone who looks after your website, this is a two-minute job for them — forward this page.
